I'm Marissa Lyda! I'm a wife and mom to 2 young boys.
I've always wanted to be a stay at home mom, but knew that I needed to bring in some sort of supplemental income in order for that to work.
I've been working online for a few years now while home with my kids. But in 2023, my online income had decreased and I needed to find another way to bring in additional income for my family. That's when I turned to bookkeeping!
I have a bachelor's in business accounting and worked in the accounting field for 6 years before becoming a stay at home mom and growing my online business.
I thought of starting a bookkeeping business but felt so overwhelmed with where to start! I hadn't used Quickbooks Online, didn't know exactly what bookkeepers did, and didn't know if I could find clients! I felt a lot of self doubt and imposter syndrome.
That's when I talked to my friend and former work colleague, Andrew Brown. I mentioned my desire to start bookkeeping but didn't feel equipped and he reassured me that I COULD do it!
So I started with my first client and learned Quickbooks Online as I went. It was a little clunky at first but I figured it out with some help!
Since launching my bookkeeping business I now work with a couple clients and fit it into my schedule so that I can work from home and be with my kids! I love the consistency in income that bookkeeping brings me and my family and I'm excited to show how you can do the same!

Andrew Brown is husband, dad to 2 girls and accounting professional. Andrew graduated with his bachelor's in business accounting and then received his CPA certification. He's worked in public accounting and private accounting as he's advanced his accounting career.
When Andrew's wife had their first baby and decided to stay home, he wanted to be able to be able to bring in additional income for his family, but do so on his own time at home. This was when he started his bookkeeping business!
Andrew has used his skill, expertise and $60 to build a successful bookkeeping business generating over $20,000 over the last 6 months.
This supplemental income has allowed his family to take dream vacations all while he works on his own schedule from home!

Who would bookkeeping be good for?
Bookkeeping is great for those who have an interest in money management. You should also have organizational, professional and communication skills. Is this course for me if I'm already a bookkeeper?
Probably not. Next Level Bookkeeper teaches you how to start from the beginning and learn the basics you need to know to do bookkeeping tasks and launch your bookkeeping business!
What is a Next Level Bookkeeper?
In our course you will learn the bookkeeping basics. But you'll also learn what can set you apart as a Next Level Bookkeeper! This is the bookkeeper who knows how to do additional analytical tasks that can set them apart to make them more desirable for clients and charge more for their services!
How long will I have access to the program?
You'll have access to this course for as long as It exists! Kinda like lifetime access. :) You can start whenever and take as long as you need. Then come back and rewatch content any time! You'll also have access to any additional lessons or modules added to this course in the future.

Is this for international use?
Unfortunately, no. We are teaching using GAAP, which is the US standard.
